- Bio: Hi! My name is Laura, and I'm an educator, a maker, and an underwater archaeologist! My day job as an archaeologist informs me artistically: I am particularly drawn to the places where history, folklore, belief, and folk craft intersect with art and art practice. I explore these primarily through printmaking and textile arts. I’m constantly inspired by vernacular technologies, decorative arts and the ways that people in the past and present construct social identity through artistic practice.
