Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day

Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day is an annual event held every November 14th (14th is a weekend) to honor civil rights activist Ruby Bridges. It commemorates her historic walk in 1960 as a six-year-old integrating William Frantz Elementary School in New Orleans, encouraging students to walk to school while engaging in anti-racism and anti-bullying education.
