Report an Absence

Absences can be reported by emailing aseaway@walnutcreeksd.org, or calling (925)944-6840 x8801, with a detailed message why your student will be late or absent.

The Walnut Creek School District encourages every student to attend school every day.  School attendance has a direct impact on student achievement.  To avoid unnecessary absences, please follow these tips:

• Only miss school due to illness such as vomiting, diarrhea, or fever within the last 24 hours
• Schedule medical appointments and extended trips when school is not in session
• If your child seems anxious about going to school, talk to the teacher, principal, or your doctor for advice
