Along the way you'll hike across open grasslands, oak woodlands, and scenic ridgelines, with sweeping views of Mount Diablo, the Diablo Foothills, and the surrounding valleys.
This 4.8-mile loop features 695 feet of elevation gain, making it a rewarding moderate hike with a mix of steady climbs and peaceful backcountry scenery. Beginning and ending at Borges Ranch, the route combines the area's historic setting with expansive landscapes, seasonal wildflowers, and opportunities to spot grazing cattle and local wildlife.
