Sousa, Ridge Top, Camino Verde, and Ramsay Circle Loop

Starting from Sousa Drive, this route follows Sousa Trail to Ridge Top Trail before looping back via Camino Verde and Ramsay Circle Trail. Along the way you'll hike through oak woodlands, open grasslands, and rolling hills, with panoramic views stretching from Mount Diablo to the Carquinez Strait on clear days.

This 2.7-mile loop offers a moderate climb with 643 feet of elevation gain, making it a rewarding hike for visitors looking to experience some of Acalanes Ridge's best viewpoints. Depending on the season, you may also see grazing cattle and a variety of native oak trees along the route.
