Starting from Camino Verde, this trail climbs steadily to Ridge Top Trail through the rolling hills of Acalanes Ridge Open Space. Along the way you'll enjoy panoramic views of Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, and Mount Diablo, with oak woodlands and open grasslands providing opportunities to spot local wildlife.
This 1.3-mile out-and-back hike is a good choice for a shorter workout, gaining 357 feet of elevation on a steady climb. Some sections can be steep or muddy after rain, so sturdy footwear is recommended.
