Ohlone and Paradise Valley Loop

Starting from the Ygnacio Valley Road trailhead, this short loop follows the Ohlone and Paradise Valley trails through the rolling grasslands and native chaparral of Lime Ridge Open Space. Along the way you'll climb to scenic viewpoints overlooking Walnut Creek, the Diablo Foothills, and the surrounding East Bay hills before looping back to the trailhead.

This 1.9-mile loop features 367 feet of elevation gain, making it a great choice for a shorter hike with rewarding views. The route offers a peaceful introduction to Lime Ridge's diverse landscapes while connecting two of the preserve's signature trails.
