3.2-mile loop

View trail details

Description

Starting from the Paraiso Trail, this loop climbs through Lime Ridge Open Space before connecting with the Manzanita and Ohlone Trails. Along the way you'll pass rolling grasslands, scattered oak woodlands, and scenic overlooks with expansive views across Walnut Creek and the surrounding East Bay hills.

This 3.2-mile loop gains 820 feet in elevation, offering a rewarding climb followed by a gradual return through some of Lime Ridge's most scenic terrain. Spring brings vibrant wildflowers, while the open hillsides provide excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing throughout the year.

Note: Dogs are not permitted in the Lime Ridge Wildlife Preserve south of Ygnacio Valley Road. South of the preserve, dogs are allowed on leash only.
