Jane Bulmun Grove Overlook and Rearing Horse Hill

Starting from the Ygnacio Valley Road trailhead, this short loop follows the Jane Bulmun Grove Overlook and Rearing Horse Hill trails through the rolling grasslands and oak woodlands of Lime Ridge Open Space. Along the way you'll climb to scenic overlooks with panoramic views of Walnut Creek, the Diablo Foothills, and the surrounding East Bay hills.

This 1.6-mile loop features 275 feet of elevation gain, making it an excellent choice for a relaxed walk, trail run, or shorter hike. The route combines gentle climbs, open meadows, and peaceful scenery into an easy introduction to one of Lime Ridge's quieter corners.
