Description
Starting from the Paraiso Trail, this longer loop connects with the Ohlone Trail to explore some of Lime Ridge Open Space's most scenic ridgelines and rolling grasslands. The route features steady climbs, open hillsides, scattered oak trees, and panoramic views stretching across Walnut Creek, Concord, and the surrounding East Bay.
This 7.1-mile loop gains 1,181 feet in elevation, making it a rewarding option for hikers looking for a longer adventure through the preserve. Spring brings colorful wildflowers and lush green hills, while the open landscape provides excellent opportunities to spot birds and other local wildlife.
Note: Dogs are not permitted on this route because it passes through the Lime Ridge Wildlife Preserve.
