Savannah, Lime Ridge, and Forgotten Loop

Starting from the Ygnacio Valley Road trailhead, this scenic loop follows the Savannah, Lime Ridge, and Forgotten trails through rolling grasslands, native chaparral, and oak-studded hillsides. Along the way you'll climb to panoramic viewpoints overlooking Walnut Creek, the Diablo Foothills, and the surrounding East Bay hills, with seasonal ponds and spring wildflowers adding to the scenery.

This 2.1-mile loop features 495 feet of elevation gain, making it a rewarding shorter hike with steady climbs and expansive views. The route connects three of Lime Ridge's signature trails into a peaceful loop that showcases the preserve's diverse landscapes and seasonal beauty.
