Paraiso Loop and Arbolado Park

Starting from Arbolado Park, this scenic loop follows the Paraiso Trail into the rolling hills of Lime Ridge Open Space before looping back through open grasslands, native chaparral, and oak-studded slopes. Along the way you'll enjoy panoramic views of Walnut Creek, the Diablo Foothills, and the surrounding East Bay hills.

This 3.1-mile loop features 754 feet of elevation gain, making it a rewarding moderate hike with steady climbs and expansive viewpoints. Beginning and ending at Arbolado Park, the route combines convenient neighborhood access with the peaceful backcountry landscapes that define Lime Ridge Open Space.
