Crystal Ranch Trail

Starting near Crystal Ranch Park, this out-and-back route follows Crystal Ranch Trail through the rolling grasslands of Lime Ridge Open Space before connecting with Galindo Creek. The steady climb rewards hikers with expansive views of Walnut Creek, Concord, and the surrounding East Bay hills.

This 5.5-mile route gains 1,266 feet in elevation, making it one of the more challenging hikes in Lime Ridge. The open terrain features seasonal wildflowers, scattered oak trees, and excellent opportunities to spot local wildlife along the ridgelines.
