The Walnut Creek downtown library in Civic Park is a place to read and learn, and it’s also a place to celebrate. The Oak View Room, located on the second floor, is spacious and private -- the perfect room for meetings and corporate events. Renters have also transformed this space for birthday and dinner parties, book signings, trainings, and much more.

We named the Oak View Room for the towering oak trees right outside its ample windows. The room also overlooks our lively downtown plaza. You'll find many conveniences here, including a kitchenette and a separate entrance that is accessible when the library is closed. If you hold your event during open hours, guests have access to the entire library and its impressive art collection.

Beautiful wood floors compliment the room's contemporary vibe. Natural light adds warmth to the space.

Whether you’re hosting a business meeting or something more festive, the Oak View Room has the space and ambiance to make it memorable.

Please note that library programming is prioritized in this space during the library's hours of operation. Monday through Thursday hours are limited for rental groups. Most availability in this space occurs on Friday through Sunday dates.

Social events are only able to be hosted when the library is closed to the public. If looking to host a social celebration on a Monday through Saturday date, please check out our other indoor and park rental spaces.**
